Megan Offner spent ten years living in New York and working in various construction and design trades before moving upstate to Warwick, NY to found New York Heartwoods, a community-based sawmill that produces quality local lumber from “waste” trees.
Megan will lead participants on a trail walk through the forest. Along the way, participants will learn how to forage forest edibles and identify trees by tuning into and hearing their messages. What do we have to LEARN FROM OUR FORESTS? Learn how to understand signs of vigor and disease/decline, identify forest stressors and discuss solutions. WHAT TO DO WITH A DYING TREE?
